Regional Leader - HIV (m/f/d)

In this role, you are leading a team of Key Account Managers to best implement the company's goals in the region, with a focus on:

  • Management of all sales activities for optimal performance

  • Management of performance, engagement, and development of the team as well as of individual employees

  • Leader, inspirational multiplier of ViiV values, culture, strategies, and initiatives.

Region: Berlin, Neuruppin, Dresden, Zwickau, Suhl, Erfurt, Nordhausen, Magdeburg, Leipzig

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for results for the region including business planning, area analyses and implementation of business reviews

  • Leadership of the regional sales team, taking into account the various aspects of the leadership role (manager, leader, coach, trainer, consultant, mentor, multiplier, role model)

  • Development and performance management of team members; implementation of regional training activities, F2F and remote coaching

  • Coordination, implementation and monitoring of sales activities including regular reviews using available systems (e.g. PowerBI, T360, Veeva) to increase performance as well as identification of market dynamics

  • Accountability for successful Account Planning in the region, an engagement of key customers by the team (e.g. segmentation/targeting, monitoring, account planning)

  • Coordination of the content of the sales strategy and ensuring its implementation, including coordination with all relevant functional areas (especially with Marketing and medical brand leads). Allocation of resources according to local needs. Cross-functional collaboration and participation in projects

  • Event management, i.e. planning and implementation of different event formats (face-to-face events as well as digital formats)

  • Multiplier for continuous improvement, role model for constructive handling of change (lead by example), digitalization, project management, designer of the ways of working

Qualifications & Skills

  • Several years of experience in pharmaceutical (specialty) sales. State-certified pharmaceutical representative or comparable qualification, qualification according to § 75 AMG

  • Very good knowledge of the German healthcare system, especially the financial impact of control elements on customer behavior

  • Analytical and organizational skills, thinking and working in or with networked internal and external structures

  • Strong performance orientation, comfortable dealing with complexity and has a high ability to work under pressure

  • Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time for co-visits, F2F coaching with team members, sales meetings etc.

  • Fluency in German and good knowledge of English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Complete English language proficiency (oral and written)

  • Proven track record of launching new pharmaceutical products

  • Leadership and team-management experience

  • Marketing experience
