# R&D Materials Compliance Manager
**Materials Compliance Manager**
Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for people with hearing loss, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
Driving the compliance of materials and components is your passion. Your strategic expertise in global chemical regulations will pave the way for our continued success. Embedded in an international R&D environment, you are responsible to ensure every product meets the applicable regulatory standards from concept to launch. You will develop and leverage cutting-edge compliance solutions to help us deliver best-in-class products.
**Your tasks**
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of materials compliance policies, processes, and tools to comply with global chemical regulations
* Monitor global developing chemical regulations and lead strategic efforts to ensure future compliance
* Integrate compliance assessments into R&D and product development workflows from early design stages.
* Manage risk-based strategies to proactively identify and address potential future non-compliance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Supply Chain) to align compliance efforts
* Mentor engineering teams, ensuring accurate regulatory assessments and documentation
* Build up and lead a small team of Materials Compliance Specialists to conduct operational aspects
**Your profile**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials science, chemistry, engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years’ experience in materials compliance or a regulatory role in a regulated industry, preferably in medical device industry.
* In-depth knowledge of international chemical regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS, TSCA, SCIP, POPs, GHS/CLP, California Prop 65)
* Good understanding of developing regulatory frameworks for critical substances such as PFAS.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and optimize compliance processes.
* Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and fluency in English.
