Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

How will you make an impact?

Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.

Projects may include the following responsibilities:

  • Execute experimental plans, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports and product summaries.

  • Investigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.

  • Align with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (i.e. ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures.

  • Learn continuous improvement methodologies (i.e., PPI, Six Sigma, and others) and help promote improvement initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with other functions including Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, and/or Marketing in the commercialization of new products.

How will you get here?

  • Undergraduate student pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree.

  • No previous work experience required; previous related internships preferred.

  • Experience using computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Proficient in English and German

  • Internship will fulfill a 5- or 6-month University placement within curriculum.

  • Ability to be onsite – this is not a remote opportunity.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong professional presence.
