## Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Product Director - Search Advertising, to join the Vendor team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
As part of our Vendor team, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of thousands of restaurants, shops, and local businesses. Your contributions will empower vendors with advanced tools to manage their operations, boosting their visibility and reach. Every feature you help build will create growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes, strengthening Delivery Hero’s ecosystem and impact.
* Define and execute the long-term product vision and strategy for search ads and sponsored vendor discovery experiences globally
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading search advertising solutions
* Leverage expertise in machine learning and data science to guide technical product decisions and drive innovation in search relevance, query understanding, and recommendation systems
* Own end-to-end search advertising product development, from ideation through launch and optimization, focusing on performance metrics, analytics, and regional needs
* Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, conducting user research and collaborating with various teams
* Drive the adoption of cutting-edge search technologies and mentor technical product management capabilities
## Qualifications
* 10+ years in search, personalization, recommendations and data science, building commercially viable products in those spaces and owning product strategies
* Strong technical background in data science, ML, and statistical analysis, with hands-on experience in Python, R, SQL, Spark, TensorFlow/PyTorch
* Deep understanding of search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr, ranking models, recommendation systems, NLP) and modern search architectures (vector, semantic, hybrid retrieval), with a proven track record
* Experience with experimentation frameworks and statistical methods for product optimization, including search advertising evaluation metrics (relevance, precision, recall, NDCG, MRR)
* Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills in English, capable of navigating complex organizational environments. Experience with modern AI/ML technologies (transformers, large language models, neural information retrieval) preferred
