Principal Scientist, Material Development(m/w/x)

In this role, you will lead a global team focused on developing innovative polymer films for pharmaceutical packaging. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include directing research projects, collaborating with external partners, and scouting for emerging technologies to enhance material performance.

Anforderungen

• •Masters in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science with focus in Polymer Chemistry
• •Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science with focus in Polymer Chemistry or equivalent experience
• •Minimum of 8 years technically leading material development projects in polymer sciences
• •Experience in polymer thin films or polymer synthesis for pharmaceutical applications
• •Expert-level understanding in polymer analysis, synthesis, blending, and functional enhancement
• •Strong proficiency in rubber chemistry, including compounding and detailed analysis
• •In-depth knowledge of surface chemistry and advanced coating technologies for polymer films
• •Expertise in leading global and cross-departmental project teams
• •Ability to operate independently with guidance in challenging situations
• •Leadership in fostering a collaborative environment and addressing skill gaps
• •Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuade others
• •Experience in delivering presentations to senior and executive management
• •Fluency in English, including verbal and written communication skills
• •Fluency in German preferred
• •Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• •Knowledge of applicable ISO and USP standards for drug delivery
• •Knowledge of health authority regulations including FDA and MDR
• •Proficiency in statistical methods/tools
• •Experience in project management
• •Understanding and following guidelines for sensitivity with IP protection
