**About the Role**
We are seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Audio Digital Processing to join Harman Automotive AILab. Harman Automotive is an industry leader in creating automotive grade consumer experiences. Our mission is to revolutionize the in-cabin experience with our iconic brands such as Harman, JBL, Infinity, Mark Levinson, Bang & Olufsen, Bowers & Wilkins, Revel, and Lexicon.
The ideal candidate will have a strong impact focus and extensive experience in developing, deploying, and managing ML & AI solutions related to Audio Digital Processing in production environments. Familiarity with popular cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and the ability to develop cloud-based solutions is a must.
**What You Will Do**
* Develop, implement, and maintain ML & AI solutions with a specific focus on Audio Digital Processing for robust and scalable product integration in automotive applications
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their audio processing requirements and provide data-driven solutions
* Work closely with business units to drive the development of AI-based audio features across our product portfolio
* Explain complex audio processing concepts and models to stakeholders and customers
* Develop innovative ML & AI solutions to redefine the in-cabin audio experience
**What You Need to be Successful**
* 7+ years of hands-on experience in implementing production-level ML & AI solutions, specifically in Audio Digital Processing
* Demonstrated experience in working with Generative Audio models and techniques
* Proficiency in Python and popular ML & AI frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, etc.)
* Extensive experience in Audio Signal Processing, including knowledge in DSP techniques for audio, acoustics, and speech processing
* Practical knowledge of audio codecs, audio analysis, and audio-related standards
* Extensive knowledge in building data preparation and evaluation pipelines (e.g., Airflow, MLflow, Databricks, etc.)
* Solid understanding of (AWS) cloud computing with Docker
* Proficiency in classical software development tools (e.g., Git, SQL, command-line tools, etc.)
* Master Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with a focus on Audio Processing
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
**Bonus Points if You Have**
* Experience in C++, Java, or web development.
* Experience in the areas of generative AI (in particular large language models) related to audio processing.
