BBIS has an opening for a Primary School Counsellor - IB Primary Years Programme (f/m/d)
Full-Time: 30 teaching hours per week (40 working hours)
Start date: 01.08.2025
Limited initially until 31.07.2026
##### YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
* Offers counselling services for our primary school students Gr. 1-5 aged 6-11
* Responsible for attending to the social and emotional welfare needs of more than 250+ students
* Delivers the ISCA Guidance Curriculum in the primary school
* Provides individual and group Brief counselling services to meet the developmental, preventative and remedial needs of primary-aged students
* Works closely and in conjunction with teachers, primary school staff/leadership and Student Support Services staff
* Delivers staff and parent workshops
* Promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment for students
* Implements and maintains evaluation and record-keeping systems
* Serves as a core member of the Child Protection and Safeguarding Response Team
##### YOUR QUALIFICATION
* Masters level degree in school counselling or school psychology or social work or a related professional field, with a specialization in mental health or child and adolescent development
* Minimum two years of experience working with children (6-11) in an educational setting
* Experience in multicultural, multilingual environments
* English language abilities and working knowledge of German preferable
* Extraordinary cross-cultural interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
**Important:**Before beginning the employment at BBIS, the following documents must be submitted:
* Proof of immunity against measles, which must have been confirmed by a doctor if you were born after 1970. Alternatively, a medical certificate of medical contraindication can be provided.
* The original certificate of the highest obtained (university) degree
* An extended certificate of conduct that must not be older than six months.
These documents are required to comply with legal and internal employment regulations.
