- •PhD degree in a relevant discipline or will hold this degree before starting
- •Strong research interest and background in the carbon cycle of forest ecosystems
- •Strong programming skills in R, Python, C++
- •Experience in data analysis, statistics, model-data integration, and remote sensing products
- •High motivation and openness to communicate with researchers and technicians
- •Interest in presenting research at scientific conferences and project meetings
- •Excellent English skills

Deine Aufgaben
- •Conduct research on tree tissue nitrogen content, respiration, and net primary production
- •Integrate satellite-derived spatial products of forest biomass with tree traits and species distribution data
- •Estimate plant respiration and net primary production across boreal and temperate forests
- •Compile and analyze a database of measured tree tissue respiration rates
- •Assess environmental drivers affecting spatial patterns of respiration and net primary production
- •Compare results with existing net primary production products and vegetation model outputs
- •Publish findings in internationally recognized journals
