# Postdoc Liver Diseases (m/w/d)
## The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated PostDoc to develop novel methods for the discovery and validation of innovative therapeutic concepts in the field of chronic liver diseases. With your passion for cardio-renal-metabolic diseases, you can apply your scientific expertise to develop new ideas for drug discovery projects. ## Tasks & responsibilities
* In your new role, you will perform research independently and keep records of experiments accurate and up to date.
* You will work in a multidisciplinary team with members from various scientific backgrounds.
* As Post Doc in the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic team, you will perform state-of-the-art biochemical, molecular biology, and cell culture methods to study pathological vascular remodeling in liver cirrhosis.
* Furthermore, you will closely interact with experts in the field of computational biology.
* In addition, you will publish scientific results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present data at international conferences.
## Requirements
* PhD with a strong background in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology
* Strong expertise in the field of endothelial biology preferably in context of chronic liver disease
* Knowledge in mammalian cell and tissue culture, experienced in methods to investigate interplay between different hepatic cell types; knowledge in microfluidic liver vasculature systems is a plus
* Experience in systematic analysis and condensation of genomics data would be advantageous
* Very good oral communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to maintain focus in a complex environment
* Fluency in English; German language skills would be a plus
