**Penzberg** | **Full time**
### The Position
**Our Vision**
Our vision is to develop a disruptive R&D platform for quantification of small and large molecules utilizing MS (Mass Spectrometry) combined with ESI or nano-ESI (Electrospray Ionization), thereby providing significant clinical benefits to our partners. We are looking for a Postdoc (m/f/d) in the MS field with a strong expertise in clinical and/or organic chemistry combined with profound knowledge in MS/IMS (Ion Mobility Spectrometry). This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to innovative and promising MS/IMS workflows. The offered position provides the opportunity to become part of a young and motivated team that interacts with numerous functions and technologies within the company.
**Our Team**
We are part of Reagent Research and Design (RRD) and are responsible, among other things, for the development of assays and instrumental analytics methods for all kinds of analytes in various matrices. Additionally, we evaluate reagents and workflows in the course of developing new innovative MS platforms to serve our internal customers.
We are a young and dedicated team of currently 9 members, working on development and optimization projects for use in R&D chemistry/analytics development, diagnostic tests or instruments. After an intensive training in the basic techniques and instruments in our laboratories, we want to involve you in MS related projects. In doing so, you will work with a multicultural and motivated team.
**Your Assets**
* You know how to plan, execute and document experiments for MS/IMS (ESI and nano-ESI) as well as sample preparation workflows utilizing magnetic particles and robotics.
* You have proven experience in MS/IMS, particularly in electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and nano electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.
* You have a passion for working in strong teams. In your team, everyone shares success while setbacks are seen as opportunities to learn.
* You know how to automate workflows to streamline workpackages as best as possible.
* You know how to proactively build bridges and network within a large organization.

* You seek new approaches to solve problems and challenge the status quo.
* You know how to present clearly and convincingly to a larger audience.
* You adhere to the safety instructions and internal and external regulations regarding occupational safety and environmental protection.
* You know how to write patents and scientific publications.
**Who you are**
* You hold a doctorate / Ph.D. in (bio)chemistry or a related field.
* You have profound theoretical and practical knowledge of MS/IMS and sample preparation workflows to isolate analytes from complex matrices.
* You are familiar with state of the art data analysis and preferred first experience in programming for data evaluation tools.
* You possess the capability to work independently and with precision, and you are adept at documenting your work thoroughly.
* You are curious, enjoy working in a team, and have an initiative-driven performance motivation that is also one of your strengths.
