•Master's degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Biotechnology, clinical sciences or similar
•Experience with experimental research

Deine Aufgaben

•Establish in vitro and in vivo models of chronic P. aeruginosa biofilm infections
•Characterize mature P. aeruginosa biofilms on titanium and other surfaces
•Quantify biomass, structure, and metabolic activity of biofilms
•Identify resilient subpopulations and extracellular matrix components
•Analyze gene expression of resistance and virulence factors
•Investigate synergistic effects of antibiotics and small molecule inhibitors
•Assess biofilm tolerance to anti-pseudomonal agents
•Evaluate combination treatments for biofilm prevention and eradication
•Develop and validate a zebrafish model for chronic biofilm infections
•Optimize infection parameters for biofilm formation on implants
•Use live imaging and immunological assays to monitor infection dynamics
•Test treatment strategies and study immune evasion mechanisms
•Participate in research secondments at SHIELD partner institutions
•Attend specialized training workshops and international conferences
