The research group of Katrin Böttcher focusses on understanding mechanisms of immune cell dysfunction in cancer development, progression and resistance to immunotherapy with the main aim to advance therapies against hepatobiliary cancers and related hepatological conditions. We are located at the M3 Research Center at the University of Tübingen and are looking for PhD students who are enthusiastic about translational research and to understand ·
* how immune cell function is regulated by tissue microenvironments in health and disease
* how MAIT cell functionality is regulated by immune cell metabolism
* how to engineer MAIT cells to direct them against solid cancers
**Ihre Aufgaben**
* Conduct research in molecular cancer immunology with a focus on T cell engineering
* Apply advanced technologies such as spectral flow cytometry, spatial transcriptomics, RNA sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9, and extracellular flux analysis
* Investigate tumor-immune system interactions in translational research settings
* Collaborate closely with team members in a dynamic and supportive lab environment
* Participate in national and international research collaborations and joint projects
