**Position Overview**
In this role, you will oversee the entire payroll process for Austria, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with a small team to deliver precise payroll services. Additionally, you will work hand-in-hand with Otis HR Employee Services, HR business partners, key vendors like ADP, tax authorities, and unions to guarantee timely and accurate payroll execution.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* **Coordinate Payroll Activities:** Oversee all operations related to Austria's payroll, ensuring smooth execution of end-to-end payroll processes, and manage the full cycle for our outsourced payroll solution.
* **Collaborate on Sage:** Work with Sage to deliver accurate and timely payroll services for Otis Austria, maintaining high standards of efficiency and reliability.
* **Process Monthly Payrolls:** Responsible for processing monthly payrolls, guaranteeing precision and timeliness for all payroll-related transactions.
* **Ensure Accurate Calculations:** Ensure the correct calculation of statutory payments and deductions, adhering to local legal requirements and company policies.
* **Maintain Controls and Compliance:** Ensure all controls and approvals are completed, supporting both internal and external audits as well as SOX compliance reviews.
* **Cooperate with Finance Team:** Work collaboratively with the Finance Team for accurate payroll bookings and smooth monthly closure activities, contributing to overall financial integrity.
* **Respond to Employee Queries:** Address and resolve employees’ payroll-related questions, providing clear and helpful information in a timely manner.
* **Provide Team Support:** Act as a backup for colleagues within the payroll team, ensuring continuity and support during absences or peak times.
* **Flexibility in Hours:** Periodic non-standard hours when necessary to support payroll production, demonstrating commitment to meeting deadlines.
**To be successful in this role you will have:**
* **Experience:** 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Austria payroll processes, showcasing advanced expertise in local payroll practices
* **Knowledge of Legislation:** Advanced knowledge of Austria Payroll Legislation is essential to ensure compliance and accuracy
* **Communication Skills:** Demonstrated proficiency in English & German
* **Technical Proficiency:** Familiarity with Sage Payroll software, Workday, and ServiceNow is preferred, enabling smooth integration and use of these tools
* **Preferred Experience:** Experience in processing Stock Options and RSUs is advantageous, adding valuable expertise to our team
* **Shared Service Environment:** Previous experience working in a shared service environment is beneficial, showcasing adaptability and collaboration.
