# Payroll Accounting Specialist (German Speaker)

**Position Overview:**
The Payroll Accounting Specialist is a detail-oriented financial professional responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payroll transactions. This role involves preparing and processing payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Accounting Specialist collaborates with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues, provides detailed payroll reports and analysis, and supports audits.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
The Payroll Accounting Specialist is responsible for:
* Managing general ledger: Oversees general ledgers, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions & account reconciliations.
* Financial reporting & analysis: Responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, & cash flow statements. They analyze financial data to provide insights & recommendations.
* Payroll tasks: Ensure the correct and compliant payroll of EIMEA countries, being knowledgeable of payroll best practices.
* Compliance: Support Internal Controls and Statutory audits.
**Minimum Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or HR
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in German payroll and general accounting (multi-countries experience is a plus)
* Proven accounting knowledge, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and closing activities
* Knowledge and experience with complex ERP systems [SAP and Blackline preferred] in matrixed organizations
* Strong working knowledge of software, systems, and technology (Excel and other software).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
* Presenting and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in teams.
