As an Onsite Support Engineer (Data Center) L2, you will tackle complex infrastructure challenges, manage critical updates, and support various projects to ensure high quality and security in the data center environment.

Anforderungen

  • •Knowledge of server (rack/blade), storage systems, network switches, cabling (copper, fiber)
  • •Experience in structured network cabling setup and maintenance
  • •Application of measurement technology for quality measurements and fault analysis of fiber optic cables
  • •Knowledge in compliance & security (ISO 27001, access control, data protection)
  • •Diligent documentation and activity records
  • •Experience with on-call and standby services
  • •Completed ITK training or comparable higher-level experience
  • •Several years of experience in data center environments and fiber optic technology
  • •Knowledge in server/storage technologies and network infrastructure
  • •Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL desirable
  • •Willingness to work shifts and on-call services
  • •Fluent German and good English skills
  • •Driver's license class B required

Deine Aufgaben

  • •Analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • •Manage firmware and patch updates with vendors
  • •Install and troubleshoot fiber optic cables in racks
  • •Perform splicing operations, both mechanical and fusion
  • •Conduct OTDR measurements and Bit-Error-Rate tests
  • •Integrate into structured cabling systems
  • •Assist with migrations and projects, such as new racks
  • •Manage escalations and liaise with L3 support and architecture teams
  • •Create technical documentation, including measurement logs
  • •Oversee spare part and asset management
