### The Position
**Network and Capability Manager**
The Clinical Distribution organization’s objective is to cost-effectively ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time every time, such that no patient will go without treatment and no clinical trial will be delayed. The Network & Capabilities Manager ensures organizational readiness for the Clinical Distribution team and our North Star: All patients worldwide, within one day, CO2 neutral.
The Network & Capabilities Manager is a member of the Network & Capabilities Chapter, which is jointly accountable for all elements of clinical supply chain distribution for the global Roche/Genentech portfolio of >500 studies. The global Network & Capability chapter is responsible for the logistic framework and setup to enable optimized and reliable clinical distribution for all studies (more than 100k shipments yearly across >130 countries), through effective use of industry-leading clinical distribution strategies (e.g. direct 2 patients), processes and systems. The Network & Capabilities Manager is a team member in an agile organizational structure, overseeing and supporting the distribution network (more than 23 warehouses and depots) and a spend of more than 50m CHF yearly.
**The Opportunity:**
* You are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the distribution network (>100k shipments per year) to enable timely, reliable and efficient delivery for all global Roche/Genentech clinical trials. Therefore you partner closely with the study management chapter.
* You support and execute the network & capabilities chapter strategy, aligning with the overall distribution strategy.
* You oversee and verify distribution costs and spend (>50m CHF/year).
* You drive best practices, standardization, and optimization of distribution network processes in collaboration with the Business Capability Leads (BCLs), ensuring supply chain reliability.
* You co-create and execute objectives for the global network & capabilities chapter, enabling continuous improvements and cultural transition towards a self-managed team and organization.
* As a back up for GMP Compliance Expert you ensure that deviations are documented, incidents are tracked, assessed, and resolved in compliance with industry regulations and company policies. As well you conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of deviations and implement effective preventive measures. In addition you oversee the CAPAs and effectiveness checks in collaboration with the responsible global Quality teams.
**Who you are:**
We are looking for a senior professional (m/f/d) to join our team with significant expertise and extensive years of professional experience.
* You have a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, including warehouse and transportation management, logistics, and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
* You possess excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and the tools and systems needed to enable operational excellence.
* You act as an architect and catalyst in the distribution organization, taking smart risks and streamlining or stopping non-value-adding work.
* You bring excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and convey key messages effectively to senior leadership.
* You have 5-7+ years of operational experience in supply chain, distribution, planning, and/or manufacturing, with significant expertise in clinical supply chain management.
* You hold a degree (BA, MS, MBA) in a technical, business, or supply chain field or possess relevant experience; certifications like APICS, SCOR, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or Lean training are a plus.
