Due to internal developments, we currently have the opportunity to fill this position anew. **Medical Science Liaison (m/f/d) –  Oncology - Gynae Cancer -  Austria** In this role, you will act as a scientific expert (80% field work), focusing on high-level scientific exchange and maintaining relationships with external experts. Your area of responsibility includes identifying and analyzing medical needs and generating relevant insights that contribute to developments in therapeutic approaches. Additionally, you will support the cross-functional team in the therapeutic area to ensure all team members can optimally fulfill their specific tasks. Your role requires a high level of professionalism and commitment to successfully support the company’s scientific and business objectives. **Your Main Responsibilities** * Promoting scientific exchange: Identifying and maintaining ongoing contact with specialists and Key External Experts (KEEs, 50–70% of working time) * Identifying local medical practices, trends, or knowledge/evidence gaps * Working closely with the Medical Affairs Manager to plan and implement clinical activities * Scientific support of investigators and sites participating in AstraZeneca clinical trials or non-interventional studies (NIS) * Planning and conducting advisory boards, round tables, and regional medical training events (virtual and face-to-face) * Preparing and delivering scientific lectures at external events as well as medical training for new employees and regular continuing education * Regularly updating your scientific and practical knowledge and participating in congresses and medical training events * Responding to medical inquiries * Close collaboration with Regulatory, Market Access, Diagnostics, Marketing, and other functions **Your Profile** * Completed studies in medicine, natural sciences, or pharmacy * Ideally at least 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical field service (medical or sales) * In-depth medical expertise in the field of oncology * Ability to prepare scientific data for different target groups * Excellent presentation skills (both virtual and face-to-face) * Strong communication skills * Excellent coordination abilities and a high degree of independence * Openness, curiosity, and willingness to learn * Very good knowledge of English **We Offer** * Comprehensive social benefits in the form of a company pension and additional insurance * Flexible working hours, and the opportunity to use a hybrid work model * Individual development opportunities * An environmentally conscious company striving to be climate-neutral by 2025 **Why should you choose AstraZeneca?** A career with us is much more than just a job.
