Anforderungen
- •Enrollment in a Master’s program in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- •Foundational understanding of thin film deposition processes, semiconductor device fabrication, and basic CMOS technology
- •Experience with laboratory work in semiconductor or cleanroom environment
- •Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Minitab and MATLAB
- •Strong analytical mindset, hands-on problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- •Good communication skills in English (spoken and written) and proactive independent working style

Deine Aufgaben
- •Understand the role of PECVD in depositing dielectric layers like SiO₂ and Si₃N₄ for CMOS devices
- •Investigate the impact of PECVD process parameters on film stoichiometry
- •Identify correlations between input parameters and output metrics such as film thickness and refractive index
- •Develop systematic experiments using Design of Experiments techniques
- •Perform thin film deposition runs on advanced equipment at ams-OSRAM's fabrication facilities
- •Characterize thin films using ellipsometry to assess thickness and refractive index
- •Evaluate stoichiometric composition with Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy
- •Assess process stability and uniformity within and between wafers
- •Analyze experimental data using statistical tools and regression models
- •Propose optimized PECVD recipes to meet CMOS specification targets
- •Derive Fit and Response models for tuning process parameters
- •Document all process steps, experimental results, and analysis findings
- •Present progress in regular meetings with supervising engineers and researchers
- •Compile a final thesis report with conclusions, visualized data, and future recommendations
