## Job Description
* You will generate CAR T-cells from primary human material using isolation, activation, transduction, and expansion techniques.
* You will perform co-culture assays to validate CAR T-cell performance, including cytotoxicity, activation, and cytokine production measurements.
* You will develop co-culture assays to assess the impact of impact of biophysical parameters (e.g. ECM stiffness, hypoxia, and lactate) on CAR T-cell performance.
* You will perform transcriptional profiling on CAR T-cells to elucidate molecular mechanisms affected by biophysical parameters, such as through RNA-seq analysis.
* You will apply CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing to modify T-cells, targeting genes for enhanced resistance to tumor microenvironment stressors.
* This position offers you a unique opportunity to obtain your Master’s degree while staying abreast of the latest developments in genetic engineering and cellular therapies.
* Your workplace will be in Bergisch Gladbach.
## Qualifications
* You are an enrolled student and have a Bsc. degree in genetics, immunology or a related field.
* You are curious and eager to learn.
* Teamwork and open communication are part of your key values
* You are well organised, flexible, and conscientiously document your laboratory results.
* You should be familiar with cellular biology techniques e.g. flow cytometry. Experiences with CAR T cells is a plus.
* You should have basic computational skills, such as familiarity with bioinformatics.
* You are fluent in English.
