## Make an impact
* Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 13 mechanical and electrical engineers based in Dortmund
* Oversee resource planning within the engineering department
* Develop and implement design standards for 2D CAD (AutoCAD), 3D CAD (SolidWorks), and electrical design (E-Plan), integrating them into ERP (SAP) and PLM (Teamcenter) systems
* Conduct detailed engineering of light goods conveyor systems based on sales layouts and product standards
* Evaluate customer requirements for feasibility and cost-effectiveness in close collaboration with the sales department
* Advance the toolchain with a focus on global standardization
* Engage in ongoing dialogue with technical experts at other locations
* Collaborate intensively with internal partners across sales support, project management, production, purchasing, assembly, and commissioning teams
* Prepare technical calculations to support the quotation process
## What you need to succeed
* Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronics
* Professional leadership experience in engineering within plant construction, ideally with a focus on conveyor technology
* Solid background in project management with a structured approach to overseeing engineering projects
* Proficiency in common CAE systems, ideally including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Eplan P8, as well as familiarity with ERP systems. Experience with PLM/PDM systems is a plus
* Strong teamwork abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring and motivating teams
* Fluent in both German and English
* Open to regular travel between company locations, amongst others to Eberstalzall, Austria
