This is a unique opportunity to establish and run a state-of-the-art laboratory to drive interdepartmental improvements and make a lasting impact. **Responsibilities:** * Build, lead, and manage the MS&T Drug Product Lab Team, overseeing activities and experiments related to formulation, filling, and lyophilization, both in small-scale setups and an automated pilot line * Collaborate proactively with teams across MS&T DP&DS, CMC, QA, QC, regulatory, and manufacturing to design, plan, execute, and report experiments, confirmation runs, and troubleshooting efforts * Lead initiatives for process improvements, lifecycle management and support tech transfer activities within Takeda’s global vaccine drug product manufacturing network * Establish and grow expertise within the team to enhance process understanding, facilitate efficient problem-solving, and support process characterization * Take an entrepreneurial approach to set up and operate the Drug Product Lab, ensuring alignment with the Vaccines Business Unit’s needs and fostering a transformation-driven team culture * Drive the efficient utilization of lab assets with a continuous improvement mindset, balancing agile troubleshooting support with strategic long-term process enhancement * Regularly review and adapt quality standards in the lab to meet the evolving needs of experiments and operations In this position you will report to the Director MS&T Lab. **What you bring to Takeda:** * MSc with 10+ years of experience in vaccines or biologics drug product process development, MS&T Labs or start-ups, including multiple years of conceptual design, execution and evaluation of complex lab experiments * Strong technical knowledge in formulation, aseptic filling, isolator technology, lyophilization, and single-use materials * Proven expertise in process development with background in tech transfer, and sustaining cGMP Drug Product manufacturing * 5+ years of leadership experience, including developing and mentoring technical teams * Experience with vaccines, particularly live viruses, is a plus * Strong communicator with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects * Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in risk identification, issue resolution, and time/project management * Hands-on approach to lab activities and fluent in both German and English **What we offer you:** * Attractive and competitive salary * Open-minded and modern working environment * Hybrid working model * 30 vacation days * Company pension plan * Further education and training * Commuting allowance * Attractive Relocation Package including brokerage fees * Subsidized canteen * Subsidized sports programs * Disability insurance * Supplementary nursing care insurance * Long-term account with various possible uses * Employee discounts * Employee Stock Purchase Plan * Employee Referral Program * Deferred compensation as desired * Future amount * Global Wellbeing Program * Interactive online courses for employees' children * Employee Recognition Program ## Locations Singen, Germany ## Worker Type Employee ## Worker Sub-Type Regular ## Time Type Full time
