## LCA Specialist REMOTE (m/f/d) ###### Permanent employee, Full-time ·Remote (Germany) --- ##### Your mission As an LCA Specialist in our product design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the functionality and requirements of our sustainability software. Leveraging your expertise in lifecycle assessment and regulatory frameworks like EPD and ESPR, you will bridge the gap between technical LCA concepts and actionable software specifications. Your work will ensure that our platform meets the needs of industry professionals while maintaining compliance with relevant standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Act as the subject matter expert on lifecycle assessments, environmental regulations (e.g., EPD, ESPR), and industry standards. * Translate LCA methodologies and regulatory requirements into clear, detailed software specifications. * Develop concise functional specifications aligned with LCA workflows, calculation rules, and data processes. * Collaborate with product managers, consultants, and developers to design and implement LCA-related features, including customer-specific software solutions. * Analyze user needs and market trends to define and prioritize product requirements. * Work closely with cross-functional teams - developers, product managers, and LCA experts - to refine product concepts and drive innovation. * Act as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless communication. * Stay up to date with advancements in LCA tools, datasets, and digital solutions to continually enhance our platform. * Support the development team by reviewing and validating features against specifications. ##### Your profile * Excellent Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Deep understanding of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodologies, tools, and data sources. * Familiarity with environmental regulations such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). * Experience in the chemical or process industries is highly desirable. * Basic understanding of software development principles and processes to facilitate collaboration with developers. * Familiarity with data management and visualization techniques. * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences. * A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for sustainability. ##### Why us? **Benefits** * Almost unlimited growth opportunities * Exposure to renowned clients and relevant business problems * Competitive compensation and benefits package **Work mode** **To enable our remote work mode, we work with:** * MS Teams for synchronous communication * GitLab for project management * Daily project standup meetings, bi-weekly company meetings * 2-4 face-to-face meetings of our team per year **Equal Opportunities for Everyone** We are open to all groups of people without regard to age, color, national origin, race, religion, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, or any other legally protected characteristics **Our Mission** There is no planet B.
