Anforderungen
- •Fluency in Mandarin
- •Educational background from China
- •Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, foreign languages, language teaching, or related field
- •At least 2 years of experience in translation, localization, linguistics, education, or related field
- •Fluency in English (C1+)
- •Expert understanding of Mandarin language from a linguistic perspective
- •Deep knowledge of reputable linguistic resources for Mandarin Chinese
- •Expert understanding of research best practices
- •Experience with machine translation and identifying error patterns
- •Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
- •Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
- •Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- •Master’s degree or higher in linguistics, translation, foreign languages, language teaching, or related field or Bachelor’s degree plus 4 or more years of experience
- •Fluency (B2+) in at least one other foreign language
- •Basic understanding of LLMs, NLP, AI
- •Experience with AI prompting
- •Teaching experience is a plus

- •Serve as a linguistic advisor across the company
- •Test and evaluate DeepL’s products before and after launch
- •Assess the linguistic quality of human and machine-generated data
- •Collaborate with Language Data & Insights and Research teams to ensure data quality
- •Design tests to identify suitable freelancers for linguistic projects
- •Evaluate freelance linguists' work and provide actionable feedback
- •Work with complex language data in your language and at least one foreign language
- •Investigate language complaints from users and provide linguistic analysis
- •Explain linguistic phenomena to diverse audiences, from novices to experts
