As a Junior Metabolic Strain Engineer, you will apply hands-on strain engineering to improved product properties and yields of our ChoViva Butter, as well as future fats and fat-derived ingredients. ##### A Taste of What to Expect * Design and execute your own experiments in a lean, results-driven way, applying full DBTL cycles with a strong hands-on presence in the wet lab * Generate, collect, analyze, and interpret experimental and literature data in a coherent and structured manner * Closely coordinate with the Strain Engineering team and the broader Fats & Oils R&D team to align on goals, timelines, and responsibilities * Contribute to the development and expansion of our in-house structural biology capabilities to support the creation of tailored product compositions * Ensure reliable documentation of procedures and results, as well as organized and secure data storage * Support the daily operations of the lab by contributing to shared responsibilities You will also build and test these targets in vivo and hands-on in the wet lab, together with the strain development team. We are hence looking for an ambitious and motivated team player with a strong passion for computational biology and the wet lab alike. You will be challenged to drive the extension and continuous improvement of applied computational tools at Planet A Foods. You will have the support of the team and leadership to grow our computational tool stack alongside your skills over time, with commitment to additional resources through our network and educational training.
