Anforderungen

  • •Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • •First hands-on experience with Python scripting
  • •Experience working with SQL for data manipulation
  • •Familiarity with SQLMesh, DBT, or Airflow
  • •Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery
  • •Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

  • •Good communication skills and collaborative mindset

  • •Fluent in English, German is a plus

## Junior Data Engineer (m/f/d) ###### Temporary, Full-time ·Berlin,Remote, Hamburg, München --- **Important: this is a fixed term contract for one year.** ##### Your mission As a **Junior Data Engineer**, you will join our **App Team (Energy Data)**, helping to build and maintain the pipelines and systems that power the real-time features of our consumer app. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills across cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing directly to meaningful energy data products. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers while taking ownership of parts of our data systems, especially focused on energy telemetry and pricing logic. Your responsibilities will include: * Support the development and maintenance of **SQLMesh pipelines** for transforming telemetry and pricing data. * Assist in writing and troubleshooting **Python-based data pipelines** that ingest data from external APIs and data sources. * Help maintain and evolve our **GCP infrastructure**, including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery. * Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data for app features. * Learn to own and improve logic for **pricing, earnings, savings**, and **energy measurement calculations**. * Contribute to the creation and improvement of **Looker dashboards** to support data visibility, monitoring, and decision-making. * Participate in maintaining and improving **CI/CD pipelines** for data products using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions. * Work on improving **data quality monitoring**, debugging issues, and proactively resolving errors. * Gain ownership over specific KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts. ##### Your profile We are looking for someone early in their data engineering career, eager to learn, proactive, and excited about working at the intersection of climate tech and data.
