IOT Test Development Engineer(m/w/x)

## Job Description The IOT Test Development Engineer is established in the team of Embedded Systems at R&D. The focus of work is situated at the middle of an IOT infrastructure. As the central part of the BLE communication on an access point the IOT Test Development engineer supports the team by the development, testing and verification of the IOT gateway functionality to the BLE world. This gives the team extensive technical knowledge about the development of BLE chips as well as functional and automated tests of various infrastructure products. By further analytical verification, the system behavior in this specific part of the overall system can be determined and evaluated. **Key Responsibilities:** * Define and execute integration and end-to-end tests for the various solutions to ensure seamless regression and functional testing throughout the product lifecycle * Development and execution of functional and non-functional end-to-end tests along the development cycle for solutions covering hardware, embedded software and wireless connectivity * Driving an automated test environment and integration of test pipelines * Development, integration and maintenance of various test frameworks * Implementation or extension of CI/CD pipelines with test functions * Coordination of test runs based on the project activities * Technical responsibility for the entire testing and verification part of the team **Key Challenges:** * Knowledge on Bluetooth Low Energy * Automating complex tests * Flawless handling of BLE Sniffer Basics * Analytical and combined way of thinking * Comprehensible identification of errors and challenges * Knowledge of a high range of technologies and each others impact * Understanding complex system architectures. ## Qualifications **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications or equivalent training **Experience:** * Solid experience of verification and testing of embedded devices at development phase at engineering level e.g Bluetooth Low Energy based products, IOT gateways or IoT devices * At least 2 years of experience in integrating, testing and debugging distributed systems consisting of hardware, embedded software, gateways and/or BLE based products * Quality mindset compared with critical thinking and attention to detail allows you to identify problems and propose resolutions under pressure. **Skills/Abilities:** * Coding skills in C, C++, Python, Scripting * Skills on BLE Vendor Frameworks like Zephyr * Skills on Bluetooth Core Specification * Skill on tools like Git, Azure DevOps, Labgrid, Robot Framework, Ellisys, Salea, Segger * English – Fluent, German – Conversant * Great technical understanding * Good analytical thinking skills * Interest in computer science * Ability to abstract for the modelling of solution concepts * Willingness for further training on new technologies, legal aspects * High quality awareness and good communications skills, resilient ## Additional Information **We innovate.
