# Your Role
* Develop and test concepts for medical robotics, robot-assisted surgery
* Work on robotics, sensor signal processing and fusion, creation of models from sensor inputs, machine learning
* Evaluate concepts both in simulation and on real setups, get hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field
* Conduct experiments in our robotics laboratory
* Present and discuss research findings in team and department meetings
* Work closely with experts in robotics, sensor signal processing, modeling, and medical technology, as part of an international project
* Work with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment
# Your profile
* You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in computer science, electrical engineering, or mechatronics (preferably) - Alternatively, in biomedical engineering, physics, or comparable
* You have basic knowledge in robotics, modeling, and sensor processing
* You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++
* Knowledge in optical sensing systems, optical coherence tomography, is a plus
* Fluent English language skills
* A hands-on mentality, an open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication and innovation skills
* Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for innovative technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
