**What you will do**
As an intern or as part of your thesis, you will become part of our dedicated team and work with state-of-the-art technology on exciting projects in the field of robotics for autonomous aviation. Implement your own robotics projects and immerse yourself in innovative research fields, including:
* Implementation of various functional pipelines such as
* Autonomous landing in outdoor areas
* Autonomous landing on hubs / landing sites
* GNSS-denied navigation
* (Cooperative) path and trajectory planning
* Cooperative localization of drone teams
* Mission intelligence for autonomous decision-making
* Fusion, modeling, and construction of complex sensor systems
* Automatic calibration and synchronization of sensors
* Generation of unique multimodal datasets
* Sensor data fusion: Early, Mid, and Late Fusion
* Implementation of swarm functions and communication in the swarm
**What you bring to the table**
* Enrolled in one of the following or related fields of study (Bachelor/Master): Mechatronics, Electrical and Information Engineering, Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related subject area
* Very good academic performance
* Experience from previous own research work or courses in robotics and embedded systems
* Experience in the field of sensors, path / trajectory planning, or sensor data fusion
* Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and experience with ROS2
* Passion for research and solving complex problems
