# Internship in Neural Organoid Models (Starting August 2025, Duration: 12 Months)

## The Opportunity
Joining Roche’s Institute of Human Biology (IHB), part of Roche Pharma R&D (pRED), focused on human model systems for drug discovery and personalized medicine.
**In this position, you will**
* Contribute to the derivation of new methodologies for induced pluripotent stem cell-based neural organoid models and implementation in screening assays and disease modeling
* Support the characterization of newly derived organoid models with immunofluorescence, molecular and biochemical analyses
* Work closely with colleagues in the areas of bioengineering
* Design and execute experimental work and perform data analysis
* Actively participate in scientific discussions and present your work
## Who you are
You are an ambitious student currently enrolled in your **M.Sc. degree program** or have recently completed (within 12 months prior to the start date) your **M.Sc. degree in life sciences** (biology, neurobiology, developmental biology, stem cell biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, or a related scientific field).
You have a strong interest in scientific problem-solving and learning new techniques. You thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment that gives you full accountability for your own contributions and development.
**Desired skills**
* Prior experience in mammalian cell culture
* Experience in basic molecular and cell biology techniques, including immunostaining, histology, and confocal imaging
* Motivation to learn and apply innovative research tools and new techniques
* Clear communicator and fluent in English
**Additional skills**
* Experience in human embryonic/induced pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation
* Experience working with 3D or organoid models
