## Job Description
* During your internship, you will collaborate with the team to optimize processes and implement data-driven solutions in the eBike NVH team. You will design, build, and maintain robust real-time data pipelines to process sensor data from various sources.
* In addition, you will ensure the integrity and performance of the data pipeline, handling the ingestion, validation, transformation, and storage of data efficiently.
* Furthermore, you will develop and optimize relational database schemas (MySQL) for raw and aggregated data storage.
* You will monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring fault tolerance and automation for high availability.
* Last but not least, you will provide documentation and best practices for scaling and enhancing the pipeline to handle production-level workloads.
## Qualifications
* **Education:** studies in the field of Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
* **Experience and Knowledge:** proficiency in Python and MySQL; strong experience with ETL processes, real-time data ingestion, and processing frameworks; familiarity with sensor data processing, including validation, transformation, and aggregation techniques; experience with database optimization, schema design, and handling large-scale data
* **Personality and Working Practice:** you have excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions; you are able to communicate and collaborate effectively; you work in a structured and autonomous manner, paired with initiative and adaptability
* **Enthusiasm:** a strong interest in IT and data-driven problem-solving, along with a passion for implementing innovative solutions in real-time data engineering
* **Languages:** fluent in German and/or English
