## Job Description
**Join us in shaping a more sustainable future - Starting September 2025**
Step into a six-month internship with our passionate Sustainability Team and help bring our strategic roadmap to life. You'll work alongside dedicated professionals who are committed to sustainability, creative communication, and strengthening the SMG community through meaningful impact.
**Your Mission**
We’re looking for a proactive and purpose-driven intern to join our Sustainability Team at the SMG group level. In this role, you’ll:
* Help manage and maintain our sustainability data systems, with a focus on GHG inventory tracking and accurate documentation
* Support project coordination across teams, aligning stakeholders, timelines, and resources to drive our sustainability goals
* Create clear, tailored content to share sustainability insights with internal and external audiences
* Stay up-to-date on sustainability trends, best practices, the regulatory environment, and disclosure frameworks and standards
* Contribute to awareness campaigns that inspire and engage employees on sustainable practices
## Qualifications
**What will you bring to the ride?**
* A degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, business, economics, or a related field, ideally with a focus on sustainability, sustainable finance, or climate policy
* A strong interest in sustainability and a solid understanding of the evolving ESG landscape, including regulatory and corporate developments
* Familiarity with key frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, TCFD, or GRI; hands-on experience is a plus
* Confidence in data validation, consolidation, and verification processes. You bring a structured and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, particularly in the context of climate balance reporting and GHG inventory management
* A proactive mindset and a collaborative attitude; you take initiative and help drive progress on complex topics
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams and stakeholders
* You’re a team player and enjoy collaborating with others
* Fluency in English; German is an advantage
