## Your new responsibilities
DEA is a central function which (besides other tasks) maintains and supports the Unix IC-design environment. In this role we control and monitor the compute farms at our major sites and use a ticket system to receive and act on tickets to support our engineers worldwide.
• Implementation of an interface software which extracts key information of tickets in a IT-ticket system and transfers this data into the (different) ticket system used by engineering. Both systems provide a REST API to access and/or create data. The software shall be built in a way that it regularly synchronizes specific tickets between the two systems.
• Implementation of a software which collects and processes the ASCII statistics data about running/completed jobs in our compute farms to enable a combined dynamic webpage which is capable of visualizing and filtering usage data of those farms.
Who we are looking for
• Competency and experience in programming (python or perl) and working in Unix (Linux)
• Preferably HTL, FH or university students in one of the following disciplines: informatics, physics, electronics.
• Ability to work independently and with accuracy.
• Fluent English will be a strong benefit.
• Internship duration 1 to 2 month in the period of July to October 2025.
• 38.5 hours per week.
