# Internship Cellular Biophysics, Lead Discovery (start date: no earlier than 1 September 2025, 6-12 months in Basel) **Basel** | **Full time** ### The Position The Lead Discovery (LD) department in Pharma Research and Early Development initiates and supports Small Molecule research projects by identifying screening hits and by providing key data and insights for their optimization in Medicinal Chemistry. Our department also contributes to the discovery of therapeutic proteins and supports emerging therapeutic modalities. We are a tightly knit community of many and diverse employees, closely collaborating with our therapeutic areas and other functions. ### Your Opportunity: * You are part of the biophysics team of LD with a natural interest in the interface to cellular assays. * You will explore the application of thermal denaturation methods in cellular context. * You are confident in hands on execution of in vitro methods, ideally fluorescence technologies and thermal denaturation methods (e.g. TSA, DSF). ### Who are you? * You have a Master or Bachelor in biochemistry, biology, biophysics or a related life sciences field with background or interest in thermal denaturation methods and fluorescence spectroscopy * You are a dedicated and enthusiastic student with a talent and interest in applying biophysical methods and willingness to prepare samples in a cell-culture lab. * You are a proactive researcher with confidence and interest in establishing new ideas and knowledge in protein chemistry and cell culture is a plus. ### Your complete application includes the following documents: * A Current CV and a Motivation Letter * A certificate of enrolment (if you are currently studying). * For Non-EU/EFTA citizens: Due to regulations, you must provide a certificate issued by your university stating that an Internship is mandatory for your studies Location: Basel, Switzerland Target Start Date: 1 September 2025, or later, upon availability Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) Duration: 6-12 months ## # Who we are A healthier future drives us to innovate.
