International Affairs Specialist(m/w/x)

As an International Affairs Specialist, you will dive into the complexities of global politics, conducting research and analysis to inform U.S. policy. Your role involves managing partner engagements, planning high-level visits, and synthesizing critical information into impactful presentations.

Anforderungen

• •10+ years of experience in military or government international affairs or political-military planning
• •5+ years of experience working in the Space field
• •Experience with Microsoft Office suite and military-specific planning software such as C2IE or MAVEN
• •Knowledge of European and African political and military affairs
• •Knowledge of U.S. foreign policy objectives, international security organizations such as the UN or NATO, treaties or agreements, and security policy
• •Knowledge of International Affairs and Security Cooperation programs, processes, and procedures
• •Ability to travel throughout Europe, Africa, and the U.S. up to 25% of the time
• •TS/SCI clearance
• •Bachelor’s degree
• •5+ years of experience with Country Team
• •Experience with IA in the EUCOM-AFRICOM AORs
• •Experience working at a Major Command, preferably in the EUCOM or AFRICOM AORs
• •Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, or Foreign Policy
• •DSCU Security Cooperation Organization - Practitioner Level Certification
• •Completion of DSCU Foundations of Capability Development Course
• •Completion of DSCU Foundations of Political-Military Activity Course
• •Completion of DSCU Foundations of Security Cooperation Course
• •Completion of DSCU Foundations of Technology Security, Foreign Disclosure, and End-Use Controls Course
• •Completion of DSCU Foundational Policy and Resourcing Course
• •Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
