As HSE Manager (m/f/d), you’ll lead the implementation of the Novartis HSE Management System at our DEV TRD Austria site in Schaftenau. You’ll drive strategic initiatives that embed health, safety, and environmental priorities into daily operations, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and external local regulations. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate with local and global stakeholders to shape a culture of safety and sustainability that empowers teams and delivers lasting impact.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Implement Novartis HSE Management System across DEV TRD Austria site in Schaftenau and Kundl.
* Align site HSE strategy with long-term business objectives and operational goals.
* Ensure full compliance with Austrian HSE regulations and Novartis internal standards.
* Lead site-wide HSE audits, inspections, and authority visits with clear accountability.
* Evaluate HSE program effectiveness using data, technology, and cost-efficient methods.
* Standardize HSE processes and optimize resource use across TRD Austria sites.
* Collaborate with TechOps HSE team to enhance cross-site operational synergies.
* Report HSE risks and drive timely corrective and preventive actions with leadership.
**Essential Requirements:**
* Certified safety specialist or engineer per Austrian government requirements or equivalent.
* Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical development or related industrial field.
* Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
* Strong problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset.
* Experience leading global health, safety, and environment initiatives.
* Deep understanding of local and international HSE regulations.
**Desirable Requirements:**
* Experience working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional, matrixed environments.

For this position the minimum salary is € 78,383.90 a year (on a full-time basis).
