HR Business Partner, Germany (m/f/d)

As we continue to scale, we are seeking an HR Business Partner to join our People team, reporting to the COO. This is a high-impact role that will partner closely with C-level executives, to support our teams in Germany, helping to shape our HR strategies and ensure a great employee experience.

As the HR Business Partner at Billwerk+, you will collaborate with the executive leadership team and managers to shape and execute our people strategy. You’ll enhance our "One Team" model, ensuring alignment across functions, while empowering leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams. Together, we aim to foster a thriving workplace culture that drives exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Act as a strategic consultant and provide advice on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance with German labor laws.

  • Lead talent acquisition, employee onboarding, and retention strategies.

  • Drive performance management, employee development, and succession planning.

  • Leverage data and key insights to support organizational development initiatives and change management.

  • Ensure a positive and inclusive work culture through employee engagement initiatives.

  • Act as a mediator for employee concerns, providing guidance on conflict resolution.

  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and external vendors.

Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience 3+ years as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager, with expertise in German labor law.

  • Leadership: Track record of fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and German; additional language skills are an advantage.

  • International Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a multicultural, multinational environment is highly valued.

  • Technical Skills: Experience with HR software and tools.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of employee relations and conflict resolution.
