# Homologation Lead

## Job Description
### Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as the key GME lead for 3rd party supplier responsible for CoC management and manufacturer’s representative
* Acting as the key point of contact for the TACER Regional Engineering Homeroom teams based in the US, Korea, etc.
* Responsible for the coordination of all WVTA and IVA for GME local products and sales to ensure compliance
* Providing support on European and national legislation/regulation inquiries, primary related to passenger vehicle homologation and registration (environmental, safety and technical matters)
* Working with 3rd party to ensure pre-production individual vehicle approval for quality evaluation, test drives and press events purposes
* Work with 3rd party to ensure CoC/eCoC availability and appropriate storage/maintenance/availability for GME markets
* Ensure GME products are compliant with any "Small Volume Derogation" with the corresponding authorities for vehicles placed on the market
* Work with 3rd party and TACER Regional Engineering Homeroom teams to ensure end of series exemptions are managed appropriately
* Support product planning on future European products and applicable regulations alongside the responsible TACER engineers in the Regional Engineering Homeroom teams based in the US, Korea, etc.
* Identify cost reduction potentials within the homologation/certification scope of work to minimize cost per vehicle
* Ensure business continuity planning is in place for GME products being sold in Europe
* As required, represent the company in regulatory forums and advocate for business interests
* Collaborate across teams to proactively address compliance challenges
* As required, represent the Regional Engineering Homeroom teams for local EU based certification/type approval testing.
* Maintain GME Customer Experience, Digital Interfaces with regulatory required content, working with the Regional Engineering Homeroom teams.
* Work with 3rd party ( Know Motive ) to ensure type approval documentation is loaded within EU/National registrations system to ensure smooth registration of vehicles by customers.
* Work with 3rd party ( Know Motive ) and Regional Engineering Homeroom teams to respond to manufacturer representative requests for national registration authorities.
* Oversee all the scope of work currently handled by 3rd party ( Know Motive ) for CoC , Registration , etc ..
* Work in close coordination with Head of EU Affairs to understand impact of future regulatory legislation on GM products
## Additional Job Description
**Required qualifications**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
* 5+ years of professional experience in automotive homologation or regulatory compliance within the EU.
* Strong knowledge of EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA), UNECE regulations, and national homologation frameworks.
* Experience working with third-party technical services and regulatory authorities.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects across global teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an asset.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid powertrain homologation.
* Familiarity with upcoming EU regulatory trends, including GSR II, Euro 7, ADAS, and Cybersecurity.
* Background in North American regulatory systems (e.g., FMVSS, EPA, CARB) is a plus.
* Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
**Hybrid -** This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Zurich office three times per week, at minimum.
