# Head of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Location: Singen, DE Function: Environment Health and Safety Part-time or Full-time: Full-Time Job Type: Employee Workplace type: On site ## **Join Amcor and you can be part of the team that makes the packaging of the future better for people and our planet.** For our EHS department, we are looking for a successor at the earliest possible date for a **Head of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)** **Your tasks:** * As part of the management team, leading the EHS environment, health, safety department with four safety specialists and one assistant position * Ensuring compliance with all relevant country-specific, legal and internal Group requirements * Maintaining / optimizing the site's EHS responsibility structures * Collaboration and cooperation with the corporate functions of the Business Group and two Business Units to which the two plants belong * Evaluation and implementation of the legal environment in EHS * Coordinating the tasks arising from the legal requirements, Group specifications and supporting implementation within the company across all levels * Tasks of the senior safety specialist in accordance with Occupational Safety Act for the company * Supporting management and executives in defining and communicating clear responsibilities for environmental, health and safety requirements * Contact for all EHS-relevant authorities, including the employers' liability insurance association, and directing the management of requirements and approvals * Maintaining and continuously developing the “Integrated Management System IMS” with a focus on the ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and on operational environmental protection and occupational safety * Conducting internal and external audits to maintain ISO certifications and within the Group * Organization of the legally required company officers (immission control, water protection, waste, hazardous goods, radiation and laser protection) * Organization of various reports in accordance with Group specifications * Supporting the budget process for both parts of the plant * Initiate and lead projects to assess and optimize the working environment in terms of health, environment and safety * Opportunity to participate in association organizations on environmental and occupational health and safety issues and developments **What you need to bring along:** * Completed studies in a technical or scientific (engineering) degree program * Qualification as a safety specialist and environmental protection officer in accordance with German legal requirements * Several years of experience in the successful management of an EHS department in international group structures * Ability to communicate successfully with all interfaces across all levels and to lead interdisciplinary teams * Confident knowledge of written and spoken German and English and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels * Experience in project management * Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, strong assertiveness and a very high level of commitment * Good knowledge of MS Office as well as experience in SAP R/3 * Willingness to travel within the Group environment **What we bring along:** * We trust you: We value your skills, your independence and your expertise. * We give you responsibility: Your position depends on your responsibility and commitment. * We support you: We offer you personal and professional development and interesting prospects in a large company. * We provide for your future: Our company pension scheme gives you and your family security. * We keep you fit: Our health programs keep you on the move. * We want you to be successful with us: Thanks to our participation culture, you will reliably share in the company's success.
