### The Position
**The Opportunity**
As the Head of Diagnostics Communications, EMEA-LATAM for Roche Diagnostics, you will be responsible for divisional, regional, external and internal communications that engage and inspire stakeholders and key audiences to drive healthcare-related conversations and dialogue as well as enhance and protect our reputation as Roche Diagnostics. You will be responsible for communication strategy and planning, aligning with divisional, regional and Group Communications leaders to identify key topics, and for measuring our effectiveness and bringing communications insights into the organisation. In addition, you will work with regional Networks and Chapters to help guide key policy, commercial and industry topics that translate business strategies in compelling messaging that engage and influence stakeholders, and strengthen our access narrative.
The key responsibilities include:
* You provide direction and leadership to the EMEA-LATAM Communications team to plan and deliver integrated communications strategies (aligned to business and functional priorities), as well as communication planning, measurement and campaigns that engage and align stakeholders including employees, the public, media, government and customers across the region.
* You are the Communications Business Partner to the Head of EMEA-LATAM for Diagnostics and counsel on his/her leadership communication and external engagement including at industry forums. You are a trusted advisor and to provide this counsel it is essential for you to possess a deep understanding of the Diagnostics/Healthcare business and wider environment and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, individuals and teams across Roche.
* You are an active member of the EMEA-LATAM Leadership Team (E-L LT). Further, you are a member of the Diagnostics Communications Leadership Team and expected to contribute to strategy-development and decision-making for the wider Diagnostics Communications community.
* You are responsible for providing active guidance and coaching on all things corporate communication to affiliate communicators including reputation, issues, and crisis management.
* You drive skills development in key areas of the organisation to help mitigate reputational issues and risks.
* You maintain broad-based knowledge of the organisation and its operations; use knowledge of business and Communications insights, metrics, expertise, and decision principles to effectively show the impact of communication approaches on business goals.
* Permanently optimizes processes in order to increase quality and efficiency standards.
Leadership:
* You build a motivated, enabled and empowered team that challenges the status quo, explores new ways of doing things and radically simplifies.
* You act as a sparring partner, fostering VACC leadership and a culture in line with the Roche leadership principles, both across the business and Group Communications. You participate with other leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives at the business and functional levels.
