Anforderungen
- •Master’s degree in Automation, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Welding Engineering, or equivalent
- •Certification in welding engineering (e.g., Certified Welding Engineer or CWB-WE) is a plus
- •Extensive hands-on experience in industrial automation or research institutes concentrating on automation
- •Deep technical knowledge of welding and brazing processes
- •Familiarity with factory automation frameworks such as Industry 4.0, digital twin, smart robotics, machine vision
- •Strong project management and change-management skills
- •Excellent data-driven mindset
- •Excellent communication skills (English written and oral)
- •Travel readiness to visit manufacturing plants worldwide (minimum 50%)

Deine Aufgaben
- •Define and drive global manufacturing automation strategy
- •Analyze existing welding and brazing automation solutions
- •Standardize welding and brazing processes across sites
- •Specify and procure robotic welding and brazing systems
- •Propose implementation strategies for each site
- •Commission, qualify, and validate automation systems
- •Conduct weld procedure and brazing parameter qualifications
- •Program robot paths and analyze cycle times
- •Optimize changeover processes
- •Ensure automation solutions meet quality and safety standards
- •Train and mentor site engineers and technicians
- •Support root-cause analysis for automation issues
- •Lead site audits for welding automation readiness
- •Collaborate with supply chain for spare part strategies
- •Minimize downtime and implement preventive maintenance
- •Develop business cases and CAPEX justifications for automation investments
- •Collect best practices and benchmark automation progress
- •Recommend and deploy global CAPEX projects
