**Summary**
We are looking for an “FPGA Developer (f/m/d)” with a focus on measurement and drive technology and basic knowledge of control engineering and image processing for the “Control Engineering” department at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
The “Control Engineering” team defines, develops, tests and integrates control algorithms for the stabilization of multispectral vision systems for reconnaissance and weapon guidance in military vetronics and ship applications.
As an FPGA developer, you will be part of a dynamic, agile FPGA team within Control Engineering and have the opportunity to actively shape and optimize the development processes in FPGA development.
**Your Tasks**
* Requirements analysis and conception of FPGA architectures, coordinated in the team and involved trades (control engineering, board design)
* Conception, (further) development & maintenance of FPGA modules for the controlled stabilization platforms of Hensoldt Optronics GmbH based on requirements
* Independent development of decision templates
* FPGA code implementation, integration and simulations for the FPGA modules
* Commissioning of hardware prototypes with the associated FPGA components in cooperation with other development departments and external partners
* as well as documenting and presenting development results
* Support in circuit design for FPGA boards in terms of FPGA pinout
* Definition, coordination and control of external development parts, as well as ensuring quality and development goals
**Your Profile**
* Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field combined with relevant professional experience in FPGA development
* Sound knowledge of FPGA, preferably Xilinx-Zynq UltraScale+
* Very good knowledge of VDHL 2008 rounded off by experience with current simulation tools (e.g. Questa-SIM, ModelSim) and the Vivado Design Suite
* Experience in the creation of FPGA test cases with VUnit
* Ideally programming knowledge in Python or C++
* Initial programming knowledge in userland and kernel space under Linux for hardware-related platforms as well as setting up using Buildroot is an advantage
* Confident knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
