Keys to success
The Field Application Scientist (FAS) provides scientific expertise, applications support, and training to customers, focusing on Flow Cytometry. This role involves in-person, phone, and email communications. The FAS acts as a trusted expert, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide independent in-house and on-site scientific application support and training on brand products

Perform product demonstrations
-
Prepare and present seminars to a wide array of audiences

Solve customer escalations effectively through in-depth troubleshooting
-
Provide technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiries

Play a major role in introducing and supporting new products and applications
-
Support other departments on products and applications
-
Communicate effectively within the team to enhance knowledge sharing.

Support the Service & Support organization in achieving regional training and service sales targets.
Education
- MSc or PhD in Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Stem Cell Biology, Biotechnology or related scientific field
Experience
-
At least 4 years of experience working with flow cytometry instruments
-
At least 4 years laboratory experience to include expertise in sample preparation, compensation and accurate controls

Experience in spectral flow cytometry is a pre
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems

Team player who can integrate internal and field-based activities across functions to support customer requirements.

Independent and self-driven personality

Good presentation skills in written and verbal form.

Capable of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external contacts

Ability to troubleshoot technical problems

Ability to read, analyse, and interpret scientific and technical documents

Good commercial insight and attitude required.

Able to communicate effectively in English and German, oral and written

Flexibility to travel throughout area of responsibility 50-75% of the time (mainly Germany, Austria and Switzerland )
