# (Senior) Development Architect for SAP CTO (f/m/d) **YOUR FUTURE ROLE** * Contribute to the development and implementation of architectural patterns and best practices across product teams. * Define and drive the architectural direction of cloud-native services and prototype new AI-enabled capabilities and platform services, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. * Develop architecture guidelines and technical standards for the integration of AI capabilities into SAP’s cloud solutions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-level architectural designs and ensure alignment with product goals and business objectives. * Assess emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to recommend best practices for delivering AI-infused services at scale. * Partner with fellow architects and development teams to review and improve development methodologies, driving continuous improvements in delivery cycles and technical quality. * Continuously learn and explore emerging AI and cloud-native technologies, identifying their potential application on SAP’s architecture. * Collaborate closely with internal SAP teams on integration activities, ensuring cohesive and successful implementation of cross-team architectural solutions. **YOUR PROFILE** * 5+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with a proven ability to design and deliver complex, cloud-native systems. * Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Proficient in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript), with hands-on development experience. * Strong foundation in microservices architecture, containers, and Kubernetes-based deployments. * Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with experience in building scalable, secure applications. * Experience with SAP technologies, BTP, or enterprise integration landscapes or CloudFoundry. * Familiarity with AI/ML integration, including model consumption patterns, MLOps basics, or cloud-based AI services. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and modern development practices. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical challenges. * Effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams and clearly articulate architectural decisions. * Self-motivated, curious about emerging technologies, and comfortable working in distributed, cross-functional environments. **ABOUT THE TEAM** The CTO area’s mission is to future proof our customers and SAP.
