## Demand Planning Manager (m/f/d)

##### JOIN OUR TEAM
As a **Demand Planning Manager** at Westwing, you will join a collaborative team of Demand and Supply Planners, with your primary focus on the demand side. You will play a key role in strengthening our data-driven forecasting processes to support accurate planning and effective decision-making. You will analyse historical sales data, monitor forecast performance, and work closely with teams across Marketing, Sales, and Retail Campaigns to align forecasts with commercial strategies. Your insights will directly influence campaign planning, seasonal stock ordering, and inventory, improving forecast accuracy and overall supply chain performance. This role follows a hybrid work model, with two mandatory in-office days per week. This position is **unlimited** and based in **Munich**.
##### WHAT YOU'LL DO
* prepare and review demand forecasts across SKUs, ensuring sales data accuracy, completeness, and readiness for analysis
* validate baseline forecasts using historical data, trend analysis, and statistical models to ensure a solid foundation for demand planning
* monitor and track the performance of seasonal events and promotions, aligning forecast adjustments with budget constraints and event expectations
* meet with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams to gather input on demand uplifts, market intelligence, and promotional plans
* contribute insights and updated forecasts to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and S&OP meetings, ensuring alignment across functions
* collaborate with senior management to ensure demand forecasts support the strategic business plan, revenue goals, and operational targets
* identify and flag forecast deviations at the SKU level, and generate insights on forecast accuracy to inform corrective actions and improve performance
* proactively identify and support workflow enhancements within the demand planning process to improve forecast reliability and team efficiency
##### YOU COME WITH
* a degree in supply chain, business analytics, statistics, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
* solid understanding of demand planning principles, statistical forecasting techniques (e.g., time-series, regression, seasonality adjustments), and forecasting performance metrics (e.g., forecast error, forecast bias)
* analytical mindset with strong proficiency in Excel (knowledge of SQL would be a plus)
* familiarity with BI/visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
* strong affinity for data and numbers, with the ability to effectively communicate insights across different levels of seniority
* strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
* ability to work with senior stakeholders to align forecasts with financial and operational objectives
* fluency in English
