As a Defence Design Engineer, you will engage in designing and optimizing components while collaborating with teams and suppliers. Your work will involve creating 3D models, managing product data, and ensuring manufacturability throughout the project lifecycle.

Anforderungen

  • •Completed engineering studies in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • •First experience in design related to combustion engine applications
  • •Basic technical knowledge of combustion engines (diesel required; gasoline and/or hydrogen beneficial)
  • •Understanding of simulation results (1D, CFD, FEA, NVH)
  • •Confidence in CAD design including surface modelling
  • •Autonomous work in a structured and organized manner
  • •Enjoyment of collaborating in a multicultural environment
  • •Innovative mindset and determination in pursuing goals
  • •Fluency in English, ideally in French and/or German

Deine Aufgaben

  • •Design and optimize components, assemblies, and systems
  • •Develop 3D models for components and assemblies in CAD
  • •Prepare and revise 2D drawings with correct GD&T principles
  • •Create 2D and 3D visualizations for technical understanding
  • •Contribute to professional presentations
  • •Perform basic component calculations using FEM or analytical methods
  • •Manage product data within PLM systems
  • •Create BOMs and update product lifecycles
  • •Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams throughout projects
  • •Analyze tolerance stack-ups for manufacturability
  • •Work with component suppliers to clarify technical requirements
  • •Jointly develop solutions with suppliers
  • •Support the definition and implementation of FMEAs
  • •Act as the design referent for selected components across engine platforms
  • •Aid troubleshooting activities and design improvements in the FRACAS process
