Communication Designer / Graphic Designer(m/w/x)

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping visual science communication by creating engaging graphics and media that effectively convey research. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with teams to produce content for various platforms while ensuring a cohesive visual identity.

Anforderungen

• •Vocational training in Media Design or bachelor's degree in communication design, media design, graphic design, or comparable qualification
• •Very strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• •Experience designing for print and digital media
• •Experience working with a CMS (ideally WordPress or similar) and preparing image and graphic material for web applications
• •Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
• •Structured, reliable working style and enjoyment of teamwork
• •Interest in current trends in graphic design and AI-supported design workflows
• •Experience in visualizing scientific or technical content
• •Interest and willingness to occasionally take photographs and use a camera
• •Basic knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or video
• •Experience working with image and graphic archives or comparable asset management systems
• •Basic understanding of web usability and accessibility
