# Cloud Backend (Junior) Developer (f/m/d) for AI Agent Foundation
**What you’ll do:**
*Summary:*
Join our forward-thinking team as a Cloud Backend Developer (f/m/d), where you can make a significant impact on the development of SAP’s AI agent runtime and agent tools.
*The Role:*
* Contribute to the development of SAP’s AI agent runtime and agent tools.
* Work on product backlog items, ensuring functionality, high quality and scale, using test-driven development.
* Collaborate with colleagues in a cross-functional team to ensure team success.
* Explore and assess new technologies in the field of GenAI and agentic AI.
**What you bring:**
* Excellent university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* A proactive, team-player personality. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications, microservices, and web applications. Your proficiency in these areas will be assessed through a coding interview.
* Skilled with at least one strongly typed language. Experience in developing backend (e.g. TypeScript/Node.js) components.
* Commitment to clean, scalable code and robust API design, with knowledge of Clean Architecture.
* Strong AI know-how and the ability to keep pace with GenAI technology shifts.
* Familiarity with data-centric languages, SQL databases, Natural Language Processing, Docker/Kubernetes, SAP CAP, and Git is beneficial.
* Very good communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
