For our site in Pfaffenhofen/Ilm we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position: ## Chief of Staff / Executive Consultant (m/f/x) Tech Unit Europe ## Job Summary The Chief (m/f/x) of Staff / Executive Consultant (m/f/x) to the Head of Technology Unit will serve as a key partner and operational leader, ensuring the smooth execution of initiatives within the Technology Unit. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can drive efficiency, enhance communication, and manage critical projects that align with the business objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills while working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams. ## Roles and Responsibilities The Chief (m/f/x) of Staff / Executive Consultant (m/f/x) to the Head of Technology Unit will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Technology Unit by providing strategic and operational support. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Head of Technology Unit in decision-making, prioritization, and execution of key initiatives. * Managing critical projects and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. * Driving cross-functional collaboration between teams to ensure smooth execution of technology-driven initiatives. * Preparing and coordinating leadership meetings, including agenda setting, follow-ups, and action item tracking. * Overseeing internal communications within the Technology Unit and ensuring clarity and alignment across teams. * Assisting with budget planning, resource allocation, and performance tracking. * Representing the Head of Technology Unit in meetings and engagements, as needed. * Supporting change management efforts and driving organizational improvements. * Managing confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion. * Acting as a liaison between the Head of Technology Unit and internal/external stakeholders. ## Travel requirements Percentage of overseas work: up to 30%. International collaboration and communication (face-to-face, electronic and teleconference/video conferencing) across all global time zones; international and domestic travel required. ## Professional experience & education * PhD or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Technology Management, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or a related field * Additional further training in business management topics, experience in consulting * PMP or other relevant certifications are advantageous. * 7+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or technology industries. * Strong background in project management, strategic planning, or business operations. * Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional teams. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and execute tasks efficiently. * Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of an organization. * Experience handling confidential matters with integrity and discretion. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools, and project management software. * Familiarity with technology trends in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus. ## Personal skills * Strong leadership and executive presence with the ability to drive change and inspire teams. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. * High level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and cultural awareness. * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems effectively. * Ability to work independently and proactively take initiative. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Collaborative mindset with a strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
