# Chief Development Officer / Senior Vice President (f/m/d)
**Your responsibilities**
Strategic Execution and Leadership
• Collaborate with the CSO and C-suite to shape and support corporate strategy, market prioritization, and platform design.
• Lead the execution of the agreed project origination and development strategy, ensuring alignment with investment criteria and growth targets.
• Provide market intelligence and development performance insights to guide strategic decisions.
Project Origination & Development (until FID)
• Oversee the origination, permitting, grid connection, and risk management of greenfield projects across solar PV, onshore wind, and BESS.
• Team up with the CCO area to originate and execute co-development and JV partnerships, ensuring alignment with commercial and technical requirements.
• Deliver investment-grade projects across multiple geographies, progressing them to FID.
Coordination and Governance
• Ensure strong collaboration with the CCO, Engineering, M&A, Grid, Finance, and ESG functions to maintain project quality, bankability, and market readiness.
• Manage development governance, approval processes, and tools to manage pipeline progression efficiently and aligned with Uniper standards
Organizational Leadership
• Build, lead, and empower geographically distributed and cross-functional development teams ( 80~120 FTEs) in EU ( 5 ~7 countries ).
• Cultivate a performance and purpose-driven culture focused on delivery, innovation, and operational excellence.
**Your profile**
• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in renewable energy development, with a strong track record in solar PV, wind, and BESS.
• Proven success in delivering large-scale projects across European markets from origination to FID.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, grid development, and project risk management.
• Experience structuring and managing co-development and JV partnerships.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work across functions and cultures.
• Fluent in English; German and other European languages are a plus.
