##### You as part of tonies:
As a **Character & Product Designer (all genders)**, you’ll play an active role in shaping the future of our Tonies Originals. You’ll develop new characters and product ideas with a keen eye for character design, tonie-typical aesthetics, and international market needs. You move confidently between creative concepting, detailed execution, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders – always with the goal of creating products that delight children and win over parents.
##### Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
* **Concept Development & Design:** Design and development of Tonies Originals for various markets – from the figurine and series to the 2D booklet – based on product briefings.
* **Visual Language & Style Development**: Co-develop a tonie-typical design style guide – what makes a Tonie a Tonies
* **New Products & Ideas:** Design and further development of innovative Tonie products such as Pocket Tonies in collaboration with our Global Product Management team.
* **2D Design Ownership**: Development of the 2D booklets for our Tonies Originals – from initial sketch to final look.
* **Collaboration & Communication**: Close collaboration with project managers, content, licensing, and market teams in an international context.
* **Design Review & Modeling**: Support in refining existing designs as well as occasional 3D modeling of original and licensed characters based on toy guidelines.

* A degree in Communication Design, Illustration, Product Design, or a comparable field (at least a Bachelor's)
* At least 3+ years of professional experience in character or product design, ideally in the children’s products or toy industry
* Strong skills in visual expression and the ability to work across diverse illustration styles
* Experience in 2D design and ideally also 3D design, along with a solid sense for form, color, and composition
* Creative thinking paired with structured working – you can manage, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience collaborating with various stakeholders, including internationally – you’re a strong communicator and a true team player
* Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
* You’re open to working from our office in Schwäbisch Gmünd 1–2 times a month
